All genres are represented in this selection which will show the best-crafted, most hard-hitting and surprising works from young film-makers worldwide.

Whether they’ll make you cry or laugh, the shortlisted films all have a good strong story-line.

There will be something for everyone : off-the-wall comedies, intimate and involved documentaries, strange experimental work, classic drama, animation for children and for grown-ups too…

Meetings with the filmmakers

After each screening, during the Q&A session, meet young filmmakers who have come to Poitiers from all over the world to showcase their films.

Following the Rencontres Henri Langlois Festival, Poitiers’ award-winning films or actors often go on to receive prizes at other major festivals such as Cannes and Clermont-Ferrand.



Re-screening of the Prize-winning films

A selection of the award-winning films will be presented by the Festival’s team, with some award-winning directors in attendance, a few days after the Festival, at the French cinematheque.
