This year, the Festival shortlisted 40 films from 1284 entries.

All genres are represented in this selection which will show the best-crafted, most hard-hitting and surprising works from young film-makers worldwide.

Whether they’ll make you cry or laugh, the shortlisted films all have a good strong story-line.

There will be something for everyone : off-the-wall comedies, intimate and involved documentaries, strange experimental work, classic drama, animation for children and for grown-ups too…

From German documentary to Mexican fiction, Argentine drama to Finnish comedy… come and check out the best pick of youth film!

Meetings with the filmmakers

After each screening, during the Q&A session, meet young filmmakers who have come to Poitiers from all over the world to showcase their films.

Following the Rencontres Henri Langlois Festival, Poitiers’ award-winning films or actors often go on to receive prizes at other major festivals such as Cannes and Clermont-Ferrand.
